Mobile / Manufactured Homes

The current mobile home tax rate is $0.60 per $100 of assessed value. The assessed value of mobile homes is determined by using the fair market, based on the square footage of each home.

Mobile homes are taxed according to ownership as of January 1 of every year.

A tax relief program is available to senior and/or permanently disabled citizens. See Real Estate Tax Relief.

If a mobile home is moved from the locality, it is important that you contact the office with the date of the move so that tax records may be kept accurately.

An electrical permit and inspection is due upon setting a mobile home. Any questions concerning zoning ordinances or permits should be directed to the Building Inspector's Office.

When a mobile home is sold, it is important to transfer your title to the new owner.  Please retain a copy of any bill of sale.  You may have to go to DMV to notify them that you are no longer the owner, should the new owner fail to record the title.
