The Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Special Called meeting on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 5:45 p.m. in the Seveten Room located in the Wise County School Board’s Education Center. The following were present:

PURPOSE OF MEETING
Chairman Rivers stated that two Board members has requested this special called meeting for the purpose of setting a public hearing on a proposed Flood Plain Zoning Ordinance on Thursday, January 6, 2011 @ 6:00 p.m.
IN RE: PUBLIC HEARING – FLOOD PLAIN ZONING ORDINANCE
A motion was made by Dana Kilgore, seconded by Bob Adkins, to set a public hearing for Thursday, January 6, 2011 @ 6:00 p.m. for citizen input on a proposed Flood Plain Zoning Ordinance.
Supervisor Robbins has several questions regarding some of the language in the proposed ordinance.
Attorney Mullins explained that the purpose for the ordinance is to bring the County into compliance with FEMA regulations which makes the County eligible for reimbursement of damages sustained from a storm or related disasters.
The motion was unanimously approved.
A motion was made by Ronnie Shortt, seconded by Dana Kilgore, to adjourn the meeting. The motion was unanimously approved.
