The Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Recessed meeting on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 6:45 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room located in the Wise County courthouse. The following were present:

IN RE: CLOSED SESSION
A motion was made by J. H. Rivers, seconded by Virginia Meador, to go into closed session to discuss the following:
The motion was unanimously approved.
After a lengthy closed session, a motion was made by Dana Kilgore, seconded by Fred Luntsford, to reconvene the regular meeting. The motion was unanimously approved.
IN RE: RESOLUTION – CLOSED SESSION
Secretary Underwood read the certification for closed meeting.
A motion was made by Fred Luntsford, seconded by Steve Bates, to approve the resolution verifying matters as discussed in closed session. The motion was unanimously approved by roll call vote.
RESOLUTION # 2009

IN RE: RESOLUTION – TOWN OF WISE TRANSMISSION LINES
A motion was made by J. H. Rivers, seconded by Dana Kilgore, to approve the resolution approving and agreement with the Town of Wise for transmission of sewer flows by the Town of Wise from the fairgrounds community and an agreement with the Town of Wise for provision of water and/or sewer services to County businesses, industries and residences in areas of the County area or adjacent to existing Town utility systems with the clarifications that have been discussed with the County Attorney in closed session. The motion was unanimously approved.
IN RE: RESOLUTION – SENATE BILL 1337
Supervisor Rivers asked the Board to consider, at its meeting to be held on January 26, 2009, a resolution opposing Senate Bill 1337 which deals with Coal & Gas Road Improvement Tax. This bill will take funds from the local governing body that is used for water and sewer projects.
A motion was made by Dana Kilgore to recess this meeting until Monday, January 26, 2009 at 6:30. J. H. Rivers seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved
