The Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Recessed meeting on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the School Board Education Center located on Lake Street in Wise.  The following members were present:

Honorable Steve Bates
Honorable Ronald L. Shortt
Honorable Robert E. Robbins, Jr.
Honorable J. H. Rivers – members of said Board and
David L. Cox – Finance Administrator
Karen T. Mullins – County Attorney
Annette Underwood – Executive Secretary

ABSENT

Honorable Robert R. Adkins – Chairman
Honorable Dana Kilgore
Honorable Fred Luntsford
Shannon C. Scott – County Administrator

ADDITION TO AGENDA

 A motion was made by Robby Robbins, seconded by J. H. Rivers, to approve the agenda including the item in red.  The motion was unanimously approved.

IN RE:  PUBLIC HEARING – COUNTY FY 2016/17 BUDGET

A public hearing was duly advertised for this date to receive citizens comments regarding the proposed County FY 2016/17 budget.

There being no public comments the public hearing was closed.

IN RE:  MEDICAL CLINIC – SET PUBLIC HEARING

A motion was made by Ronnie Shortt, seconded by Steve Bates, to set a public hearing on June 9, 2016 @ 6:00 PM for public input on allowing a long-term lease or conveyance of approximately five (5) acres for construction of a medical clinic on the old football practice field of the former Appalachia High School.  The motion was unanimously approved.

ADJOURN

A motion was made by Robby Robbins, seconded by Steve Bates, to adjourn the meeting at 6:09 PM.  The motion was unanimously approved.
