The Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Recessed meeting on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 @ 5:00 PM in the Board of Supervisors meeting room located in the Wise County Courthouse. The following members were present:

IN RE: RESOLUTION SECONDARY SIX YEAR IMPROVEMENT PLAN AMENDMENT
A motion was made by J. H. Rivers, seconded by Virginia Meador, to approve the resolution amending the 2012/13 Thru 2017/18 Secondary Six Year Improvement Plan as presented. The motion was unanimously approved.

IN RE: SOUTHWEST COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS GRANT – FISCAL AGENT
Finance Administrator Cox stated that Southwest Community Corrections has made a request that Wise County act as fiscal agent for the DCJS Pre-Trial Services Grant. The Regional Jail is assisting with funding for this grant as well (local effort). Wise County currently acts as fiscal agent and project administrator for Community Corrections with their existing grant. This grant does not require any funds from Wise County for FY 2013.
A motion was made by Fred Luntsford, seconded by Robby Robbins, to approve Wise County as Fiscal Agent and authorize Finance Administrator Cox to act on behalf of Wise County as Fiscal Agent and Project Administrator for the DCJS Pre-Trial Services Grant. The motion was unanimously approved.
IN RE: CLOSED SESSION
A motion was made by Ronnie Shortt, seconded by Fred Luntsford, to go into closed session per the following code Sections as permitted by the Code of Virginia:
The motion was unanimously approved.
After closed session, a motion was made by J. H. Rivers, seconded by Ronnie Shortt, to reconvene the regular meeting. The motion was unanimously approved.
IN RE: RESOLUTION CLOSED SESSION
Secretary Underwood read the certification for closed meeting.
A motion was made by Ronnie Shortt, seconded by J. H. Rivers, to approve the resolution verifying matters discussed while in closed session. The motion was unanimously approved by roll call vote.

ADJOURN
There being no further business, a motion was made by Fred Luntsford, seconded by Steve Bates, to adjourn the meeting. The motion was unanimously approved.
