The Wise County Board of Supervisors met on June 4, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room located in the Wise County courthouse.  The following were present:

Honorable Steve Bates
Honorable Ronald L. Shortt
Honorable Robert R. Adkins
Honorable Fred Luntsford – members of said Board and
Shannon C. Scott – County Administrator
David L. Cox – Finance Administrator
Karen Mullins – County Attorney
Annette Underwood – Executive Secretary

IN RE:  PUBLIC HEARING – COUNTY ANNUAL BUDGET FY 2009/2010

A public hearing was duly advertised for this date to receive citizens comments on the proposed annual budget for Wise County FY 2009/10.

Walter Crouse voiced his opposition to giving the additional $300,000 to the School Board for Christmas bonuses.  These funds could better be used for emergencies and/or unforeseen needs of the County and its citizens. 

There being no further comments, the public hearing was closed.

ADJOURN

A motion was made by Bob Adkins, seconded by J. H. Rivers, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion was unanimously approved.
