| The Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Recessed meeting on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room located in the Wise County Courthouse. The following were present:

IN RE: PROPOSED FY 2008-2009 COUNTY BUDGET
Assistant County Administrator Scott reviewed the proposed FY 2008-2009 County budget totaling $46,525,921.79. He explained that this is an update of the “Budget Activity Summary” dated 5/01/08 which reflects changes as requested by the Board:

An adjustment to the School Debt Service Budget

An adjustment to the School Operating Budget
-
State increases in Health, Mental Health and Welfare

No re-appropriation of Fund Balance
-
Funds for Fire and Rescue
IN RE: COUNTY FY 2008-2009 BUDGET – SET PUBLIC HEARING
A motion was made by Robby Robbins, seconded by J. H. Rivers to set a public hearing on Thursday, June 12, 2008 @ 6:00 p.m. to receive citizens input on the FY 2008-2009 County Budget. The motion was unanimously approved.
A motion was made by Robby Robbins, seconded by Steve Bates, to advertise the FY 2008-2009 County Budget on June 3 and June 10. The motion was unanimously approved.
ADJOURN
There being no further business to come before the Board, a motion was made by Robbins, seconded by J. H. Rivers, to adjourn the meeting. The motion was unanimously approved.
