The Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Workshop Meeting on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room located in the Wise County courthouse.  The following were present:

Honorable Douglas A. Stallard-Chairman

Honorable Betty Cornett - Vice-Chair

Honorable Douglas Mullins

Honorable Edgar Mullins

Honorable Robert Adkins

Honorable Jeffrey Salyers - members of said Board and

Edward L. Sealover-County Administrator

Shannon C. Scott-Assistant County Administrator

IN RE:  PROPOSED CHANGES FOR LANDFILL OPERATIONS/FUNDING

Administrator Sealover presented for Board consideration possible changes to the way the landfill is operated and funded. Town Manager Terry Gibson spoke in opposition of the proposal on behalf of the other towns.

There was a lengthy discussion on different avenues that the County could take in its operations that could possibly be taken that would make the landfill use fee more fair and equitable to the businesses, towns and County citizens.

There being no further comments the meeting adjourned.
