IN RE:  PUBLIC HEARING/PROPOSED FY 2001-02 COUNTY/SCHOOL BOARD BUDGET

Chairman Stallard advised that a public hearing has been duly advertised for this date to received citizens' input regarding the proposed FY 2001-02 County/School Board Budget.

He asked for comments from the floor.

Posey Rigg and Sutton Rigg voiced their support for additional funding for Pro-Art.  A hand-out was given to Board members outlining the many activities of Pro-Art and the benefits reaped by the County citizens year after year from the performances brought into Wise County.  They asked the Board to consider a $30,000 line item in the upcoming budget cycle for Pro-Art.

There being no further public comments, the public hearing was closed.
